Urn Size & Filling Information

This urn is a keepsake making it a great option to hold a small amount of ashes or as a sharing urn when splitting the ashes up between many family members or loved ones. The urn's outside dimensions are 2-1/8" L x 1-3/4" W x 2-1/2" H and an inside capacity of 1 cubic inches. This urn will only hold a very small portion of the ashes of a loved one, about one teaspoon, within the provided vial and velvet pouch. If you are looking for a different size, this urn is also available in a small size and large size. A different size may be needed depending on the weight of your loved one and your intended use. Make sure to double check the weight so that your beloved has the proper resting place. Each size is beautiful and full of artistic detail making them a great option to display in your home.

On the bottom of the urn is a removable panel with a screw closure to secure it shut. The panel has a rubber gasket to keep the inside of the urn air-tight. To fill the urn: you will remove the panel, ashes are placed inside a small provided vial and then placed inside the urn through a bottom-opening panel. Displaying & Burying The Urn

This urn makes a great work of art to display in your home. The bottom is covered in felt to avoid scratching any surfaces this may be displayed on. However, if the plan for this urn is to be buried, it is important to consider a burial container. Burial containers will protect the urn from damage when buried as it is not meant to carry the weight of burial on its own. The Crown Vault Urn Burial Containers are made from lightweight polystyrene. It can withstand 4,300 pounds of top load pressure on a single vault! This container is designed to protect the urn and any other keepsakes inside when buried. A wide lip allows the vault to be carried easily and allows for a clean adhesive application; adhesive is included.

Personalizing This Urn

This urn has the option for two engraved plaques, one each for the front and back. The plaque is used to bring another level of personalization for a lasting family momento, passed on for generations. The addition of a pets name, nickname, legacy dates and their titles (buddy, fur baby, good boy, etc.). Each plaque comes unattached to the urn to ensure they can be permanently adhered to the urn with the provided adhesive, just as you desire.

Our engravers can add your custom text in Monotype Corsiva or Times New Roman font. The front plaque can have up to 20 characters and the additional back plaque can have up to 20 characters. The plaque is completed on a material that is the same as the urn is created with. This ensures that the engraving matches the urns colors and the integrity of the entire piece remains the same. The engraving and urn will never fade, tarnish or rust.
