This lovely piece of jewelry opens so that a small amount of cremated remains, a lock of hair, or a pinch of dried ceremonial flowers can be placed inside. The top seals easily with a threaded stopper screw, but we recommend using a modeling glue or epoxy to make a permanent seal.

I finally went to place some ashes in the heart and was amazed that it held such a small amount. The actual heart is not a open chamber...just a small "sleeve" down the neck of the heart actually holds ashes...be prepared to use just a pinch. But still love the piece -
