Urn Size & Filling Information

This urn is 55 cubic inches in volume making it suitable for a dog who had a healthy weight of 50 lbs. Make sure to double check the weight so that your beloved pet has the proper resting place.

On the bottom of the urn is an opening panel with four screws so that your departed pet's ashes can be placed safely inside. The bottom also is covered in soft felt to protect the surface of your furniture. The panel has a rubber gasket to keep the inside of the urn air-tight. To fill the urn the panel will be removed, a bag containing your loved ones remains is placed inside and the panel is put back in place.

Displaying & Burying The Urn

This urn makes a great work of art to display in your home. However, if the plan for this urn is to be buried, it is important to consider a burial container. Burial containers will protect the urn from damage when buried as it is not meant to carry the weight of burial on its own. The Crown Vault Urn Burial Containers are made from lightweight polystyrene. It can withstand 4,300 pounds of top load pressure on a single vault! This container is designed to protect the urn and any other keepsakes inside when buried. A wide lip allows the vault to be carried easily and allows for a clean adhesive application; adhesive is included.

Personalizing This Urn

This urn offers two separate optional plaques, which we can engrave in Monotype Corsiva or Times New Roman font, that you can attach yourself. A personalized plaque brings another level of personalization for a lasting family memento, passed on for generations. The addition of a loved ones name, nicknames, legacy dates, and their titles (Baby, good-boy, etc.) are most common. The plaque comes unattached to the urn to ensure they can be permanently adhered to the urn with the provided adhesive, just as you desire. The engraving and urn will never fade, tarnish or rust.

The front engraved plaque allows for a total of 4 lines. The name line can be up to 25 characters and the 3 sentiment lines can be up to 60 characters per line. There is also room at the bottom of the plaque to have an optional poem engraved. You can add optional artwork engraving as well. See your artwork options above. An optional poem plaque is also available for the back of the urn.

The plaque is not attached to the urn prior to shipping. This allows the freedom for each person to adhere the urn as you see fit, with the included permanent adhesive.
