Urn Size & Filling Information

This urn is 40 cubic inches in volume making it suitable for a loved one who had a healthy weight of 40 lbs (18.14 kg) or less. This urn will hold a portion of cremains for most adults or for pets weighing 35 lbs or less. The inside compartment of this urn, with all boxes and trays removed is 5-1/4" L x 7-1/4" W x 5-1/2" H.

When you lift the lid of this urn, you will be presented with a velvet lined jewelry and memento box insert. Here you may store photos, letters, keepsakes, and other personal items. Below this tray is another velvet sheet that when lifted, will reveal a cork box that will securely hold the cremains of your loved one. This cork box has a capacity of 40 cubic inches. The memento tray is not considered when calcuating the capacity of the urn.

Displaying & Burying The Urn

This urn makes a great work of art to display in your home. The bottom is covered in felt to avoid scratching any surfaces this may be displayed on. However, if the plan for this urn is to be buried, it is important to consider a burial container. Burial containers will protect the urn from damage when buried as it is not meant to carry the weight of burial on its own. The Crown Vault Urn Burial Containers are made from lightweight polystyrene. It can withstand 4,300 pounds of top load pressure on a single vault! This container is designed to protect the urn and any other keepsakes inside when buried. A wide lip allows the vault to be carried easily and allows for a clean adhesive application; adhesive is included.

Optional engraving can be completed on this urn on the top lid. You may choose from 4 font styles you may add up to 4 lines with 40 characters of custom text. You may also choose to add simple artwork or a pre-written poem shown above. Once engraving is completed on the urn, it will be filled with an elegant gold paint to accentuate the personal sentiment.
