Urn Size & Filling Information

The size of the urn matters, especially if you are hoping to keep all the ashes in one place. The urn's outside dimensions are 6-1/4" W x 10-1/2" H x 6-1/4" D and an inside capacity of 180 cubic inches. This urn will hold the ashes of a loved one with a healthy weight of 180 lbs (81.6 kg) or less, making it suitable for most adults. If you are looking for a smaller size, it is available in a keepsake size.

Filling the urn is easy. We recommend keeping the ashes inside of a plastic bag and placing the full bag into the urn. This urn is easily sealed through the top with a secure threaded lid.

Displaying & Burying The Urn

The Reflecting Empathy Cremation Urn may be displayed in your home, stored in a columbarium or niche, or buried. If you plan to display this urn in your home or within a columbarium, an outside the urn bag may be a good option to prevent any scratches to the urns finish and to act as a dust cover. If you plan to bury this urn, it is vital that a burial container be used to protect the urn and its contents. Direct burial is not advised. You should check with your burial location to determine specific guidelines they may have but a burial container should be used in all burial instances. You can purchase an optional Crown Vault Urn Burial Container. Made from lightweight polystyrene, it can withstand 4,300 pounds of top load pressure on a single vault! This container is designed to protect the urn and any other keepsakes inside when buried. A wide lip allows the vault to be carried easily and allows for a clean adhesive application; adhesive is included.

Personalizing This Urn

This urn has the option to be engraved on the front and/or back. The addition of a loved ones name, legacy dates and their titles (father, mother, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, etc.) are most common. The urn allows for a total of 5 lines with 35 characters each to fill with any custom text you'd like. An optional poem may also be engraved on the back of the urn. Choose from 10 different poems. Optional artwork may also be engraved on the front of the urn.

Engraving is used to bring another level of personalization for a lasting family momento, passed on for generations. Urn engraving also helps you to permanently identify the urn. Some cemeteries can require direct engraving for identification purposes. In the incident of being misplaced or lost the engraving can help return the memorial back to its proper location.
