The rhodium coating helps protect and extend the life of the pendant. The pendant will come with a 20" gold-colored ball chain. I bought 3 of the photo engraved necklaces and I must say their name says it all "Perfect" Memorials because all 3 were absolutely perfect. My grandma just died in March and my 2 kids and niece are having a hard time with losing their "great" grandma that I thought this would be better than the cremation necklace for her ashes.
