Urn Sizing & Filling

To ensure the urn is the right size for your loved one, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. This urn has outside dimensions of 5-1/2" W x 10-1/2" H x 5-1/2" D. The inside of the urn has a volume of 200 cubic inches, making it suitable for a loved one with a healthy weight of 200 pounds (90.7 kg) or less. When filling the urn, it is recommended that the cremains remain inside of a plastic bag. You may also choose to use a velvet inside the urn bag as an added layer of protection. The bag(s) should be placed inside the urn through the top-opening. Once filled, the secure threaded lid should be securely fastened to the top of the urn.

Personalizing Your Urn

Adding personalization to this urn ensures your loved one is honored in the most pristine way. You may add up to 5 lines of engraving with 35 characters on each line. Also available are several basic artwork options that will be engraved below any custom text and poem options to be added to the back side of the urn. The engraving is complete through a laser process. We offer an optional engraving example which can allow you to see the engraving layout prior to its completion. If you choose an engraving example it will be e-mailed to you within 24 business hours after your order has been placed.

Displaying & Storing Your Urn

There are options for displaying and/or storing your urn. If you plan to bury the urn, you will need to use a burial container to protect the urn from the elements and weight of the earth. Burial containers may be purchased above, or you may purchase them from most local cemeteries. Each cemetery or burial ground has different requirements so you will want to confirm with them what types of containers are suitable for their guidelines. Direct burial is never recommended.

Alternatively, you may display this urn in your home or inside a columbarium. In either instance, the urn may be stored by itself or within an outside the urn bag.
