Filling and Caring for Your Jewelry

Many people are concerned about how they will fill their heart cremation jewelry when they order. We include a special filling kit with every order, with one kit being included for every 5 pieces of cremation jewelry. Additional kits are also available for a small charge. The kit includes a small funnel, a wooden pick, and a tube of adhesive.

To fill your cremation jewelry, simply locate the small screw and remove it. Use the funnel to put a small pinch of cremains, burial soil, or other items into the open chamber. Only about ½ a pinch of material will fit, so please be careful. The wooden pick can be used to guide the cremains and to clean off the threads of the chamber.

Once the chamber is filled, put the screw back in to close it. We recommend that you put a small amount of the adhesive on the screw before putting it in, as this will create a permanent seal for your heart cremation jewelry. If you need assistance filling your piece, try contacting a local crematorium or funeral home. Most funeral professionals will be glad to help for little or no charge.

No matter which type of cremation jewelry you purchase from Perfect Memorials, it's important to treat it with care. It's not a good idea to bathe or sleep in it, as the piece could be damaged. You may want to remove your jewelry when performing any strenuous activity.
