The Black Solace metal It's Awfully Dark cremation urn is a classic urn made of solid aluminum. This metal urn is a traditional vase shape and has a black, glossy finish. The urn opens from the top and has a secure threaded lid.
To fill the urn, the threaded lid is removed, a secure bag of ashes is carefully placed inside the urn and the lid is put back in place. It is highly recommended to keep the ashes inside of a secure bag, they should never be poured directly into the urn. Some families choose to use a velvet inside the urn bag for another level of protection. Although the lid is secure it is optional to add glue to the lid threads for a permanent closure. A clear epoxy is recommended but should be done with immense care and is not included.
If the urn will be stored in your home, an outside the urn bag is recommended to prevent scratches of the urns finish and to protect it from dust. This urn can be buried but should be done so inside of a burial container. The burial container will protect the urn from the weight and environment of burial to ensure it remains intact forever. It is always recommended to add engraving to your urn for permanent identification. Engraving is complete by our skilled engraving specialists who carefully lay out and complete the engraving on each urn one by one. Engraving can be complete on up to 4 lines of engraving with 35 characters per line. You may choose to add text on the front or a poem on the back for a unique tribute to your loved one.

This example will allow you to see the font style chosen, sizing and layout of the engraving and adjust to fit your needs. Although the engraving example will not show the engraving on the urn itself, you will have a great idea of how it will appear when permanently added to the memorial urn.
